Start/sit without the guesswork

Lineup calls are where most fantasy weeks are won or lost, and most of them are closer than they feel. The tool puts the numbers side by side: this week's projection in your scoring, the opponent's record against the position, and the latest injury tag. The pick is the player with the highest score after those adjustments.

How we rate matchups

For every defense we total the fantasy points it has allowed to each position this season and divide by games played. The defense that allows the most is ranked 1st, the easiest matchup. Projections already account for the opponent, so the matchup factor is a small nudge of up to 5% rather than a second full adjustment.

Questions

How does the start/sit tool pick a player?

It starts from each player's projected points this week in your scoring. A matchup factor moves that up to 5% based on how many fantasy points the opponent allows to the position this season, and injury status lowers it: questionable players lose 10%, doubtful players 70%, and players ruled out or on a bye drop to zero.

What do Coin flip, Lean, Confident and Easy call mean?

They describe the gap between the top two scores: under 5% is a coin flip, 5 to 12% a lean, 12 to 25% confident, and more than that an easy call.

Can I compare players at different positions?

Yes. For a flex spot, compare a running back, a receiver and a tight end directly. The scores are in the same fantasy points.

When should I check again?

Injury designations and projections refresh every hour. Check after the final injury reports on Friday and again about 90 minutes before kickoff, when inactives come out.

Does it work for kickers and defenses?

Yes, add a kicker or a team defense to compare streaming options. Their projections use standard kicker and defense scoring.
