Built for the trade deadline

Mid-season trades are about the weeks that are left, not the weeks that are gone. The analyzer only counts projected points from now through week 17, so a player who is about to come off a bye is worth more than one whose bye is still ahead, and a player on injured reserve is worth very little in a redraft league no matter what he did in September.

What the adjustments mean

When the sides have a different number of players, two adjustments appear next to the totals. The side receiving fewer players earns a consolidation bonus if it gets the best player in the deal. The side receiving more players pays a roster spot cost, roughly what a waiver pickup is worth, for every extra player it has to roster. The full logic is on the methodology page.

Questions

What does the fantasy football trade analyzer look at?

Rest-of-season projections from this week through week 17, each player's points over a replacement-level starter at his position, your scoring format and league size, and a small adjustment for Sleeper add and drop activity, which tends to move before projections catch up.

Should I accept a trade the analyzer calls fair?

A fair verdict means the value is close. Accept when the deal also helps your starting lineup: turning bench depth into a starter at a weak position is usually worth a small value loss.

Why did the verdict change since yesterday?

Values follow the hourly projections. An injury, a new depth chart, or a bye week moving in or out of the rest-of-season window changes the numbers.

Can I analyze dynasty trades?

Switch the league type to Dynasty above the tool, or open the dynasty trade calculator. Dynasty values add four future seasons with an age curve for each position.

Can I send the trade to my league mates?

Yes. Use Share this trade: the link opens the same players and settings, and shows a preview card with the verdict when posted in a group chat.
